    Wiring help w/ Camaro 3.4L/4L60E in a 81 Chevette

    I'm in need of help with the wiring on my engine swap, a 1994 Camaro 3.4L/4L60E in a 1981 Chevette.
    I'm in the process of modifying and merging the wiring harnesses from both vehicles.
    I have stripped out all of the unnecessary wiring from the Camaro harness. ABS, SRS, smog pump, power steering, A/C, and cruise have all been removed.
    The alternator and coil packs have both been relocated to opposite sides of the engine compartment compared to the Camaro.
    I have the PCM mounted and wired up the coil packs, alternator, injectors, both O2 sensors, MAP, KS, IAT, TPS, CTS, OPSU, crank and cam sensors.
    Here's the problem... a mystery plug!





    It's a 2-pin plug with brown and black/white for wire colors.
    Does anyone recognize this?
    I believe it was on the driver's side on the Camaro.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Also, any links to information on merging wiring harnesses during an engine swap would be great.
    I'm trying to figure out where exactly Camaro wiring should meet Chevette wiring.

    I keep looking but I can't see where it would go.
    Could this be an A/C plug that I missed when pruning the wiring harness?

      Don't the old style AC plugs normally have the clips on the sides, not on the top?

          that's not for the alternator is it?

          I don't recognize it so it must be something obscure like A/C etc.

            I have a 105 amp stock replacement alternator that has a plug with a single red wire and the charging stud on the back, is yours like that?
            I'd like to think it's something I just forgot to remove from the harness but I still have the feeling I forgot to plug something in.
            I suppose I'll know soon enough as I'll be starting it for the first time in the next couple of weeks, then we'll see if it throws any codes.

              Did you remove all the garbage you didn't need with the help of a wiring diagram? If so, that would show how number of wires/color of wires and what those wires went to.

                I suppose that's the problem, I can't seem to find this plug or combination of wire colors on a connector in the TSM for the Camaro.

                          I have a new issue to address, in order to get the speedometer working, should I be using a DRAC or a VSSB?
                          My Chevette swap uses a 3.4 engine, e-trans, and PCM from a 94 Camaro along with a dash cluster from a 94 G20 van.
                          The only other gauge that doesn't work on the cluster is the volt gauge, not sure why.
                          Also, the G20 cluster has a white wire on the 13 pin that I can't find in Alldata or Mitchell's, not sure what that's for since the cluster doesn't have a tach.
                          If any other info is needed I'll gladly supply it.

                            I picked up a DRAC from a 1990 G20 van today, will that work or should I keep looking for a VSSB?

                              Looks like I'll need a VSSB instead of a DRAC. I think it's because of my 4L60E.
