  • 3.4 dohc into 2nd gen j body

Well apparently a 3.4 dohc just fell into my lap. I was looking for a 3400 when some guy tells me his buddy has this motor at home and it's for sale so befor i jump right in I'd love some info on how involved this swap is and namely if i need custom parts or if i can get eveything i need from a scrap yard. My Main concern is exhaust manifolds sensors

You wont fit that engine into a J body without a lot of fabrication. The 3400 is a MUCH simpler swap and recommended over the DOHC. I just can't imagine doing the timing belt in a J body if you did fit it in there.

yeah, too bad you seem to be missing the timing chain cover. I would like to see the room leftover with that installed.
