  • Flipping Top End

purely for educational purposes, i was playing with my spare engine today, its a 3.1Turbo, and i was trying to think about how to put it in a RWD chassis. I was thinking I could just flip the top end around so that the turbo would be sitting up front a-la 3.8 GN's, but I quickly saw that the front exhaust manifold would hit water pump. I guess I would have to run a RWD front cover and water pump etc, is this possible? Is there any other way around this I am missing? Don't stress yourself trying to figure this out, I'm just curious.

You can run a RWD accessory system no problem. It would be best anyway if it was in a RWD body
