I should probably start another thread but FYI, a 3500 CPS will read the 7x wheel just fine. It even puts out a clean square wave.. (Cell phone pic)

Nah, it's ok. I wasn't sure about that so I used the CPS off of the 3.1

Probably a good thing, it's the correct diameter but just a little too short to work in the external trigger setup.

Did you manage to get the trigger to line up using the 3500 crank pulley? all the rest of us swapped to a 3.1/3400 pulley to get the clearance we needed.

It lined up just fine, but I realized that I haven't put the motor mount on yet so that will change a lot.

Last night the oil pan went away to get drilled/tapped and I finished up some loose ends on the engine harness.

Where can I get a switched 12v that is switched OFF while cranking? I just need it to trip a relay. I want to get a source off of the engine harness but if I have to run a wire from the radio I will.

I'll just grab a line from the radio.

The accessory terminal on the ignition switch would work but it will be on when you have the key to "accessory". If that is a problem, you could always wire in a normally closed relay and use the wire to the solenoid to "open" the contacts while the engine is cranking.

The Megasquirt found a new home.

                  Where'd it go?

                  That's the intercooler

The whole radiator assembly was moved 8 inches to the driver side so I could run the boost tubes.

The trans cooler made it's way in front of the intercooler but it hasn't found a home yet. The oil pan was drilled/tapped and I bought the correct adapter and ran a steel braid line for oil feed.

Are you using this wire to control the cranking bypass on the DIS ICM? The megasquirt already has a wire for that. Just set the "cranking rpm" parameters to 300rpms or less and let the Megasquirt do the work. No need to retrofit a relay for bypass.

Heres a diagram that I put together. (Understand however, that im using a customized board with an additional DB-15 port. Check your pinouts!)

Took a break from working on the car. Got some better tools, got a better shop, got a better job... Its time to burn metal!

I had considered that, but I've got most of the pins on the DB37 filled between the fan controls, TCC, knock sensor, boost controller, etc. It was actually really easy to wire in the relay for the IC bypass.

Ya, sorry I haven't updated this thread in a while. The motor fired a couple of weeks ago, running on the megasquirt. It only ran for a couple of seconds at a time, but I soon realized that the oil return line I ran won't work. The oil pressure built up inside of the turbo and it started to leak through the seals. So I have to pull the motor out and install a 90* fitting in the oil pan to fix it.

I have a video of it running on my youtube page.
