  • 3100under 2.8 heads and intake is it possible. (any help ?)

I need some info! Has anyone done this converison? My name is Shelby, and would like to here from someone who has done this swap. im wanting to put it in my fiero but dont want to have to deal with a bunch of emmisions proplems. One more question will the exaust manifolds bolt up to my 2.8 heads. Many thanks to anyone with this info...

Are you talking about 2.8 iron heads? If so, then no, it will not work without changing the pistons. The 3100 pistons combined with the large-chamber iron heads will result in extremely low compression.

Why not just swap in an entire 3100/3400? It would be relatively cheap and easy, and you'd benefit from the newer engine design. Why the urge to keep the stock top end?

If you want to keep the top the same with iron heads just use 3.1 RWD pistons, they do make them at $28 cdn each with pins. They were in some camaro's early 90's
Why pay someone to do the work, it costs alot and you don\'t learn s*^t!!!
