  • 95 3.4 into a 93 3.4 Grand Prix

Engine is already in, I didn't do it, I bought it this way and am slowly chasing gremlins. It appears the people whom did the swap used the '93 intake and wiring harness. Other than that, I'm double checking and trying to debug things.

If you were going to do this swap from scratch, what would you do?

You do mean a dohc engine don't you? What is this car going to be used for, racing?

Yep, it's already built and done. I normally stay away from other people's headaches, but this one came to me cheap. I've determined they put a 3.4 dohc from a 95 into a 93 body, using the 93 wiring and computer. I was just wondering if there is anything I need to do in order to get it run right. Any tips or pointers.

If it was all installed correctly, a 95 should fit/run in a 93 no problem. The only thing different would be the 93 wouldn't have the cam position sensor hooked up and you won't have a MAF installed either. Do you have spark? Have you checked fuel pressure?
