Problem starting.

I just finish installing a 3.4L (converted to carburator) on my 1979 MGB. Everything have been good, the car have been staring but suddenly it cracks but do not start. There is electricity 12+ volts to the coil.
It did it about a week ago but it started the next morning. Thanks
