cylinder head swap 3.4 on 3.1
1991 chevy cavalier Z24. we are dirt track racing. can we put 3.4 heads and intake on a 1991 3.1 engine block. what proformance gains will we get.

Look for ~15hp gains with just the heads and intake, with a stock engine. If you have any other mods to the current engine (like a cam), expect more gains.-Brad-

A stock 3400 top end is worth a little closer to 25 HP, but add in extras and that can go up quite a bit.
throw in some flat top pistons, a Comp 260H cam and bolt on a set of 3500 V6 exhaust manifolds and you'll be making some great power.Comment
