2.8l to 3100 Fiero 5spd ?

Hello,

I have a two fieros, one 85 gt v6 & one 86se 4cyl, both have the isuzu 5spd.
I also have a 96 3100 from a grand am. I have a few questions

1.) What issues (problems) if any will this swap entail.

2.) BOOST ????? i have 2 new t3/t4 turbos , what mods to stock engine should be done to make this function.

3.) I am going to do a full engine rebuild on this 3100. Any ideas on cam, lifters, pistons, etc..... considering the turbos.

4.) what ECM should I use and where can I get the Programming done / or the equipment to do it myself.

Immediate problems that come to mind are:

The 2.8's in the 85 and 86 Fieros were balanced at the flywheel. The 3100 is an internally balanced engine. I believe you will need to grab a flywheel from an 87 or 88 Fiero or you will have vibration problems.

Since you said 3100 I assume you have the aluminum heads. That means at least a partially custom exhaust. The WOT store sells the exhaust flanges you need to build the exhaust.

You may need the oil pressure sending unit adaptor that Rodney Dickman sells on his site but I am not sure.

A fly wheel from a 3.1/2.8 FWD will work too. Also you won't have a distributor, so you'll need to do the DIS conversion, and will need to be able to tune, so swap to 7730 ECM.

3100s can take some boost, but what exactly are the T3/T4s? mine(T04-E 46 trim) works out pretty nicely for a 3100, but a 50 trim would be perfect for a single turbo small port 3100.
