The minivans did too. 3400 with 4T65E. I'm not sure about the pin outs, you would probably need all the info from alldata or the like for both vehicles but a 97+ minivan computer and harness from either a minivan if you can make it stretch or a 3100 W-body should do everything you need it to do. I don't know how different the computer pin out, firewall connector pin out, or transmission connectors are but they should be able to work.

With all of that it might be easier to make your existing setup fit physically and then get the base tune from someone with that information.

      Okay that is good.
      Question-
Will the 97 Monte Carlo 3.4L DOHC PCM run the LX9 if a 3400 bin was flashed onto the PCM?

Also, is the crank sensor harness the same on a lq1 by the crank pulley as the SFI crank pulley sensor?

run, probably. not sure how well OBD2 takes to that kind of thing....

That's positive, now can the 3400 bin be altered and then be used with great results with lx9 engine?

If there is a better alternative to all this or to running a bin, please do tell.

Wiring difference who knows. But if all else fails you can just dump the 3400 VE /MAF/Spark tables over the DOHC tables... Same concept Robert has done with DOHC OBD1 code to run his 3100....

So you are certain that can be done.

Can the 96 3.4tdc pcm that uses the 4t60e computer be flashed to use a 4t65e trans?

i'm gonna say no due to the 97 PCM possibly having more hardware in it to deal with the extra things the 65e needs.

                    but i'm no OBD2 expert...

How about using a 97 PCM from a lq1 (monte carlo) and then reflashing it for the lx9 and a 4t65e?

i'm not sure if GM did OBD2 the same way they did OBD1: masks. if they used the same mask, then it would work perfectly fine. i think your best option would be to find all necessary and relevant tables from a LX5 BIN and paste them into the stock 97 LQ1 BIN.

Well here's the options that is being looked at:

97 Venture PCM with 3x00 reflashed for lx9 and 65E.
97 TDC Monte Carlo pcm reflashed for lx9 bin and adjusted for 65E

Those are on my mind now.

Have you spoke with lil Jon? He would know more than us. I'd look at the pinouts between a 3x00 car (monte or venture should both have same pinouts) and a LQ1 car of that body. If they are the same, then I don't see why you couldn't take a 97 venture or 97 monte PCM (depending if you have HPT or DHP) and drop the lx9 ve/spark tables onto it. Then there are some flags IIRC to turn on for 65-e, Jon once again knows more about that. You'd have to run a few more pins for the pressure solenoid control to the 65-e though when you did that but shouldn't be a big deal as long as you have diagrams.

I am using DHP powa tunR.

I dont have the wiring diagrams for all those vehicles atm. Hopefully I can figure this out before the organs come out.
