  • Wiring Harness LQ1 aka 3.4 TDC

If one were to look into taking a 96GTP with the 32 valver and swap in a lX9, would the stock GTP harness be retained or would it be best to swap the harness? If the answer is swapping the harness, what harness would you use?

Also, what about the PCM, wouldn't you use the the 96 GP 3100 PCM so you can DHP tune it? Lastly, what about the crank trigger, will the 60*v6 crank trigger clear that lower subframe motor mount?

That is all. ...... for now.

That will probably be a good read and go from there on other questions.

I did read that, but the differences is that, that car is obd1 and manual.

If you cant swap to a 97 Venture PCM or something, you can run the 3x00 on the 3.4 code, just have to tune it. External crank trigger will clear, read PCGUY's thread...

Robert Saar is running his 3100 on DOHC code (OBD1 PCM though), the VE tables are close, spark is way too much though.

I would imagine the cam sensor would probably work like the 3x00 ones do... I can't think of anything else.

keep in mind, my idea of way too much is about 3* IIRC... but that's 8.5 digits in base-16... too sloppy for my liking.

                    Okay then.

If anyone with a OBD2 lq1 that has went to 3x00SFI while still retaining OBD2 can respond to this thread with their experiences, that would rock!

Were there any 3100 or 3400 engines that got the 65E?
