i've got my starter wired up to an engine start button so i dont need to crank it by the key. that shouldnt cause any problems with the passlock or spark/injector firing problems should it? and as i said before ,according to some of the guys over on jbody.org, i have the passlock disabled with hpt and its supposed to work. however im not 100% sure if it worked for me or notComment

also, theres a purple wiring going to the starter. i think it maybe be for the park/neutral switch , correct?. anyway if that wire wasnt hooked up would that cause a problem with no starting? even if it is manual now not automaticComment

and also one more thing..lol.. if i just cut the yellow passlock wire ( like you would do to hook up a remote start to disable the anti theft) does the car need to be going to do this or can i cut it first and then start it. im using hp tuners to disable vats but im just taking precautions. oh and i have the grand am cluster plugged into the car and the security light is blinking with the yellow passlock wire cut. any input to help with my theory would be great ..lol.. thanksComment

i just went out and tried to start the car and the security light was flashing i waited till it went out and tried to start it but it wouldnt turn over and my fuel pump wouldnt work..although the battery is showing dead..but i didnt even get a click from the starter ill know tomorrow if this will work or not.Comment
