I want to put a 2005 3400 impala motor into a 2000 impala that already has a 3400 but also has a cracked block. I found the 05 motor with only 10,000 miles for 500 bucks so i want to use it. The problem is they tell me it wont work. I dont believe them. Did research, pcm pigtails are same from 2000 to 2005. Everything seems same except for cam sensor. They redesigned the cam sync ring and changed sensor. Both are three wire connections. Can i spice wires into new cam sensor and do you think the pcm will need changed. Any quick responce will be appriciated
