Hmm, I guess depending on how they changed the tone ring on the cam it might be larger in diameter or something and need a shorter cam sensor... Odd... Did any of the wire colors match up?

I did this all three weeks ago and when it didn't start I walked away from it for a while but if I remember right only one color matched, red I think. Then on one the one was blue while the other green, then one black vs brown I think. But anyway it was not a situtation where I could have used the 3.4 one. Thanks I'll let you kniw when I get the adapter on and running if I have more issues.

I think the 3500 one is longer because it doesn't have the wiring coming out of it, but rather a plug for the wiring harness. I suspect that the part that actually goes into the block is the same length. The crank sensor, on the other hand, the 3400 sensor IS about 3/4" longer than the 3500.-Brad-

Only way I've removed mine is yanking on the wires. Other ways will break the tab. I've re-used my original cam sensor every time I've had the LIM, which was 3 or 4 times lolsigpic New 2010 project (click image)

Preacherman any updates?
are you sure it's at 0? there is a line on the sensor block that should line up with the 0 on the mount.. With mine the 2 small allen bolts line up perfect with it at 0.
can you take a pic of it?
