For those of you that haven't read my other post, I am converting a 2.8 tbi engine to carb in my 85 s10, rod bearing went poop. Any who, when it comes to running fuel I know I have to run an electric pump, the question is do i use an in line pump and just ignore the return line, or do I find a pump that has a return outlet? please respond asap, need answers soon, engine is going in tomorrow, truck has to be done by the end of the week

It depends on the pump you buy. A lot of after market pumps designed for carb use have an internal bypass that will limit pressure and do not require a return line. They simply cycle excess fuel back to the inlet of the pump.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

now I have yet another question, Is anyone exceptionally knowledgeable on the vacuum system on carbed engines? I deleted my A.I.R pump of my engine and now I am left with a mess of vacuum hose! I've looked at the diagrams but can't understand what else needs to be deleted since there is no pump. I'd like to run this engine with as little emissions as possible just to make this simple on me.
