  • upper and lower intake question?

    i have a 01' prix wit 3100sfi i was wondering if i could change my lower and upper intake without having to change anything else or what upgrades would you guyz recommened while im there?

    i forgot to mention i was gonna replace it with a 3400 intake!!

      Other than the 3400 saying 3400, they are identical castings, so swapping them is a waste.

          You still have a 52mm TB so going with a 56mm would be a cheap and effective upgrade. Porting and going with a larger billet throttle body would work well too. It depends on your budget and goals.

            would it be better to have both upper and lower intake or just upper? right now i have the 3400 upper intake manifold w/ throttle but imma put a 65mm

              put on a 3500 UIM with that 65mm TB. There is your power gain.

                  Just get the TB adapter and adapt the vacuum lines. Use your old MAP sensor with vacuum lines, or splice in the 3500 MAP like I did.

                  Tuning is always good but for such a small mod not needed unless you are serious and plan on more radical stuff later. Tuning even on a stock engine can get you power.

                    for now i just plan on gettn exhaust eibach lowering springs the 65mm and the upper intake right now i just have a short ram air intake
