  • What to swap my 3.4L Into...

Well, finally dissassembling my DOHC and bringing it hoem peice by peice. If I wouldn't have spent $800 on a new computer just a couple weeks ago, I'd have a Lumina Euro w/ a blown engine that is in the paper right now.
Anyway, really keeping my options open for something to swap it into, and I'm not afraid to hack something up to put it in.

The only problem w/ a GT is finding one w/ a perfect body for under 2K.

Beretta/Corsica...I've actually thought about this swap. We have an abondoned Corsica w/ a 3.1L (non-running) in it at our shop. The owner of the shop wants $1500 for it, basicly for work that was done to it.

I also came across a RWD Pontiac 1000 one day, but didn't have the $900 to pick it up.

Another serious thought I've been having is a Sand Rail. Somthing between a 105-116" Wheel base. Lexan windshield and turn signals/lights to be street legal, and someting like the S-10 SS/Extreme wheels w/ 245/70/16 Yokohama AVS Sport Truck tires. Could you imagine something w/ 200+hp, that weighs in around 1000lbs.

I plan on heading out to the junk yards tomarrow. I don't have any cash (especially since I just spent $400 on a Mega Hoss Tranny Kit for my Camaro from KDS Performance), but I want to get a feel for anything else that I can shove this in.

I think the TR7 has less side clearance then an MGB though doesnt it?? Not tha tthat matters, since I think it has more room up top, which is more important for the DOHC...
