  • 3.4 pushrod in a fiero

Hi guys Im new here (about 20min), I was reading the motor article section about the 2.8 and the 3.4 engines. I see their are almost the same. Im thinking of buying a fiero, if i do that 2.8 will have to go. I like the l67 supercharge engine but that engine and all the parts to do the swap are too pricey for my budget. From what i read the only weak part of those pushrod engines are the pistons. The heads on the fiero 2.8 have better heads with bigger valves. Can anyone confirm the they will mate to the 3.4 block. If so I would give so forged pistons and spray that baby. It should be able to out perform that l67.

i'm getting ready to put a 3.4 in my fiero too!

mine is an auto though, from what iv'e read, you want pistons from a 3.4 dohc to raise compression. is your engine from a 93-95 camero/firebird? i'm also putting in a 4t60 trans. yes the heads are a bolt on, you'll have to buy a fitting for oil pressure sender swap the starter to the other side and i think grind off some of the block to get your bellhousing to fit, use both upper and lower plenums, use a neutrally balanced flywheel and fiero distributer. but you use all your fiero ecm feeds
