chevette swap

I already asked this in the other chevette thread,also in the transmission forums, thought I would start over with a new thread( less confusion ).
I have an 83 Chevette with a 1.6 gas motor, th200c trans, the motor is junk. I also have an S10 2.8 I would lke to put in it. The question I have is will the 2.8 bolt to the th200 that is in the car?

Since the TH200 was on that 4cyl i dunno, the pic isn't listed here:

I doubt it though, pull the engine and take a pic of the bellhousing pattern.

the 1.6 in the chevette is an Isuzu motor and has its own unique bolt patern. So its time to look for a 700r4 or 4l60. I also found a website about a 60v6 swap into a chevette the guy said he used a th200 from an S10, wasn't aware S10's came with a th200, unless he was mistaken. No matter I'll build it my way, right or wrong.

the th200 is a junk trans, i'd find a 700R-4 from a V6 Camaro.

I don't have my reference materail here with me so I don't have the actual spec's on the diff auto trans. but I did see a post asking about a 200 4r mating to a 6 degree V6 and someone gave a web address for a shop making and adapter for the swap.

700R4 isn't the greatest trans, but it'll definitely work. can we see any pics of the car or engine? I'm really interested in this project.

It will not work. I asked the same question and didn't really see why until I pulled mine out and compared it to the 60 degree V-6 bellhousing bolt pattern. Here is the TH200M that I pulled out.
