  • 95 Riviera to S/C model

Im acquiring a 95 Buick Riviera its got a 3800 Series 2 in it N/A.

Im thinking of dropping in a super charged motor into it.

Besides the obvious motor what else will I need?is the exhaust/02 sensor all the same? wiring? Computer? Transmission?

Ive found the S/C motors for less than the standard N/A... So Im thinking why not

Your response leads me to think that the 3800 S/C is junk?

      Just stick to N/A?

Or are you talking about the car in general?

The 3800 engine is a 90-degree V6, not a 60-degree V6. Therefore this is not really the proper site to be asking that question. To us, yes the 3800 is a POS engine. Others will disagree and say the 60V6s are POS engines. But needless to say, you won't find any help on that engine on this site. Hence the listing of ClubGP.com for answers...

I don't see why he can't be welcomed even though he has a 3800 car.

                Conidering I have a 3400 Vehicle, a 3100, installed the 3100. Also did a 2.8 in a beretta a few years back now.

Ive been around this board a bit. Im just noobish to engine speak/terms. I can do the work obviously- just with a little help (pictures/questions).
