LTZ .. wasnt that the Monte Carlo pckg or Lumina carried that too ?
The Monte Carlo with a 3.4 was the Z-34, the 95-up Lumina with a 3.4 was the LTZ, they had the Monte Carlo 16 inch wheels, Monte bumpers and trim and Monte taillights. I don't think a manual trans was offered in the Lumina after 94. After the 3.4 DOHC was discontinued in 97 the Z-34 Montes were equipped with a 3.8.
If it\'s fun, it\'s probably illegal and if it\'s illegal I\'m probably doing it.

Has anybody heard tell of a 5spd Euro 3.4?
Yup, my friend worked in a Chevy dealership and said he worked on a few 5 speed 3.4 4 doors (over the course of about 5 years).

The Euro 3.4 did not have the option of a 5-speed, it was auto only. The only years a Z34 could get a 5-speed were n 91-93. The base luminas and Euros alos didn't have 4-wheel disc standard, but it was an option.

Okay, every W-body came standard with all-wheel disks. It may be a option to go drums.

I have seen Manual Euro 3.4's.

The 1995 Monte Carlo Z34 didn't even have a 4 wheel disc OPTION, they ALL had rear drums.

Sadly, that is a true statement...

And answering the original poster's question (I'm not sure if it even was answered), the GM designation for every single 3.4L DOHC 60*V6 was LQ1.

You know, you can always go to www.kbb.com and just go to Trade-In Value and input the year make model. It'll show you all the options that were available.

On a slightly off-topic note, I've found conflicting information on the 5-speeds.

MSN Autos states that the 5-speed was actually standard on Z34s, and the 4-speeds were optional. I know the 4 speed was optional on the other models. Any clues?

Well most Ws had 4 wheel disc-that doesn't mean all or that it was standard.

The 5-speed was the standard equipment-The 4 speed OD was the only factory, not dealer, option that my car doesn't have. The 4speed costed more than the 5-speed too.
