i own a '95 ga/se sedan. it currently has 140k on it. i've been reading on several sites about the 3100 to 3400 swap with interest as a project to do next winter during my 3 month vacation. by then it'll have about 165 to 170k on it. i drive alot. i was thinking of getting the ported heads, intake upper and lower, and the ported throttle body from rsm racing (are they any good and is that a good combo for about 225hp to 235hp without a supercharger or internal work?), b4 installing the new motor in the car. problem is i was told the clutch pack on my ac compressor is pretty much shot, therefore making it noisy, but it still works and blows ice cold (never been recharged). my question are as follows: 1, what ac compressor would i need for the swap? (the one from a 3100 or one from a 3400, what mods would be needed to make it work?). 2, obviously with the mileage on the car gotta do something bout the tranny, every were i read they say use the same tranny that came with 3100 not the ones that come with the 3400's. so, what newer years and models can i get the tranny that i need to do the conversion done (also what are needed on the mounts and/or wiring to work properly?) thanks ahead of time for any help
