I happen to be using the LS6 springs, 3X00 roller rockers and GEN 2 push rods. I'm assuming that I adjust the valves per factory specs....124 in lbs then 30 degrees?

Thanks for any inputs on this.

I'm pretty sure to run ls6 springs without tearing up the heads you'll need to either cut the spring seat a little or install ls6 seta/shims, correct?

Yeah you use the ls1/6 spring seats and some different seals from another motor I don't know the specifics.

LS1 seats, and seals from a 1991 Cavalier 2.2l 4cyl. You have to open up the seats a little so they fit over the 3x00 valve guides, stock locks and retainers work fine - that's how mine is built.

I've heard 3.1 seals, but maybe that's for different setup or something?! or are 2.2/3.1 seals close to the same?

Ok, so I'll go the LS1 spring route. I've seen the 2.2 seals mentioned on the board, but I wasn't really paying attention to the application. Looks familiar anyway.

Are you getting a hot cam? The LS1 may not be enough, go LS6 if you are getting a hot cam (might need stronger depending on the cam)

FelPro part number SS70816, you'll need two sets since they have 4 intake and 4 exhaust.

If you order them individually (Dave said they have them at NAPA), you can use all exhaust seals or intake and exhaust - and buy the correct amount.

                  FelPro part number:

                  Intake: 70816
                  Exhaust: 70819

Crane H-260-2 (is that "hot"?), and the springs I'm getting are LS6.

That's a decent N/A cam or mild boost cam.

Sounds good for me, it's going in a 4x4 truck with the possibility of mild boost.

                        I can't wait.

Converting to OBDII. Was thinking I'd get the ECU tuned through WOT and maybe do the fine tuning myself or take it somewhere in Portland. There aught to be somewhere in Portland that could tune...
