  • Headers for Isuzu Trooper

Does anyone know of a compatible header for an Isuzu Trooper with an iron head 2.8-3.4? There are headers out there for 2.8L equipped 4wd GM trucks and Jeeps, but I've found nothing on putting them in Troopers.

I have heard that Calmini has a prototype that was never put into production.
This guy supposedly has a set: http://isuzu.off-road.com/isuzu/arti....jsp?id=194473
I'll drop him an email. I actually know him, worked on his Mac years back when I lived in Idaho. Some of the parts on my 3.4L came from his engine (he did the 3.4L TBI swap).

What is a ballpark price for custom headers if I took it to a shop? If/when I get a hybrid 3.4/3x00 in there, I figure I'll need a custom manifold/header anyway. I google'd "custom headers portland" and found "Custom Exhaust Specialties in Bend, OR. http://www.4customexhaust.com/
Portland is more convenient, but I suppose Bend would do. I actually bought my Trooper in Redmond OR, very close to Bend.

I would buy Edelbrocks since they are the smallest and modify them to fit. Or if you want long tubes get some Headmans and modify them. You will be way ahead of the game if you start with an off the shelf set.

Got an email back from Sean, says his headers were custom, made by chopping up some Pacesetters.

Yea that would work. But the last set of Pacesetter headers I saw were pretty cheesy looking. But if you going to hack them up you could fix any bad welds.
