  • High oil pressure

I have a 89 cavalier with a 3400 in it and I haven't had any problems other than the oil pressure gauge!!! I t is constantly reading 80 psi and greater. The oil pressure sending unit is new, and this is driving me nuts. Any help would be great.

    Thanks, Paul

which sending unit did you use?

you need to use one for the original 2.8, it should be the longer one.. the short stubby ones are just for dummy lights.

The one that was in my 2.8 was the wrong thread size. The one I am running is out of a 97 venture van.

one (long one for gauge) from a beretta will fit, but not sure if it will work with you ECM. I'm guessing it should. I bet the Lumina one is a short dummy light sender.
