  • 60* flywheel

Is the flywheel the same for all 60* v6's? I've heard some diffrence in clutch diameters but I'm more concerned with the center bolt patern. would the flywheel from a 2.8 fit a 3.1?

    Yes.

The only difference you will come across is internal or external balancing and RWD VS FWD. And then there was that weird Camaro flywheel.

thanks, i thought they were the same just wanted to be sure before i pulled my trans just to find it not fit and have to put my auto back in, lol

I'm doing the 5 speed conversion on my 3.1 just to keep me happy for a bit but i'm building a hybrid turbo 2.8 to drop in in a month or so, so if they were diffrent i would have just held off on the trans till i did the motor, cause my donar car for the 5 speed is a 2.8
