Folks
The "old" motor is a '95' 3.1L (Lumina sedan). The new motor is 3.1L with a head casting number 11018737 which indicates it's a engine casting of
10137093 or 10191737 (covering years '93' - '95').
The problem being the timing belt cover is different. The "new" motor's cover is embossed and away from the engine approx 3/4" more than the "old" motor. Thus the serpentine pulley does NOT allign with the rest of the
accessories (alternator, tensioner, compressor, etc.).
I'm looking for suggestions. The only solution I can think of is to get the original alternator, tensioner, etc.. Assuming this is true, how would I know what year/model???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
