Hello everyone, new to this forum and need some help. I have a 95 beretta 3100 engine and would like to know which years and makes will interchange with this car ? i've been reading over some of this and you guys know what your talking about,not like the others i,ve talk to. So please any help.For instants I found a 90 gran prix 3.1 for 100.00,will it work.

You will want anything 94+. But your best bet would be a 96+ 3400 or 00+ 3100.-Brad-

what is the difference with the 3400 any thing special. Also is there any diff. with a cavalier,I looked at a few, the engine looks sort of the same but nobody can tell me if it's the same block. I appreciate all your help, again thank you Rick.

More displacement and better flowing top end (also found on the 00+ 3100s).
As far as any 3.1L in a Cavalier, no the block is different. It is a Gen2 engine, whereas the 3100/3400s are Gen3 engines. If you want a better rundown of the differences, check out the Family Tree : http://wiki.60degreev6.com/index.php...V6_Family_Tree-Brad-

I believe 90 had the old style interior? The door panels might not bolt up without swapping over the mounting brackets and stuff. Also 95 the seat belts are in the doors. I'm thinking No without a lot of work.sigpic New 2010 project (click image)
