    im aware that you cant swap pans because of the stroke of the engine, the lines look to be the same style...



    but my biggest concern is will it mount up, if it will it seems i will be purchasing a 3500

    im fairly sure it will but the engine to trans mount is confusing me as im not sure what is being discussed, anyone have a picture of the mount itself? or how it mounts up? or even where, lol, just wondering if my n-body has one

      ok, well i read all 45 pages of pcguys thread, we're talking about the stub shaft brace on the back of the block i take it? anyone have pictures of a modified brace or a clear picture of it mounted to both the trans and block or just the block atleast?

              bump... guess i'll move on to wiring hurdles, MAP is different, basically have to change the plug style and run with it correct?

              the knock sensor for my stock engine is a different size from what ive heard?

              coolant sensor, is that different from my 98?

              how does the EGR mount on the 3500 setups? what needs to be done?

              TCE sensor, hows this wire in? guessing i can use the factor connector? also, has anyone tried this with the mrz performance underdrive pulley?

              i already know i need to swap to the 00+ multec 2 injector harness, what injectors would you guys recomend for a stock 3500 setup (want to get a baseline idea)?



              i know im missing a crapload of things but these are just the ones i thought of off the top of my head, i was to do this the best way possible so factory connectors will be used along with heat shrink and solder and prolly enough split loom to wire up 50 home theater systems, lol

                Pretty much all the info is in PCGUY's thread. Coolant sensor threads are different. EGR is like 2000+ 3x00. You will just run the 2000+ egr, and a pipe to the manifold that fits (2000+ 3100/3400), maybe the 3500 egr pipe will fit your manifolds too, not sure. MAP, yes new pigtail or run your old with a vacuum tube to the manifold. TCE yes your old 7x sensor is now not in the pan but in the external setup.

                Injectors not sure but you will need a DHP for sure. Not sure if headers fit your car since it's a 98 but I'd look into that and a cam regrind too. Might as well go all out if you are swapping to something better. Do it once ya know?

                  im actually planning on a full out engine build but if i cant get another car in time i'll have to swap in a stock engine and get all the bugs out of the way until i get a chance to build the engine and trans for the planned power

                  the reason im wondering differences is because my car is a 98 and pcguys car obviously isnt, im just looking to verify that there are the same differences and im not doing something thats not needed

                    Everything will be the same other than the engine mounts. Both OBDII.
