Recently purchased an '84 2wd S-10 Blazer rustbucket that has a great running 2.8 with a 5-speed and I want to install it in my '85 S-10 that has a 2.5 with a 4-speed. Has anyone here ever done this swap? I would rather not swap the entire engine wiring harness if it's unnecessary so I would really appreciate some tips.

Man, I could have sworn someone else just brought up a 2.5L swap out, but I can't seem to find it anywhere!! Hopefully someone with a S-series (Geoff, where are you?) will chime in and help you out. In the mean time, I'm going to keep looking for ya!-Brad-

Swapping the harness is really easy if you have the donor truck. The reason for doing it is to first add the second injector connector. And second it avoids any shortening and lengthening of wires to work with the new engine. Also since you have the donor installing the 2.8L will be easy just replace any parts that are different.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
