i have an 85 s-10 with a 2.8. i bought a 91 2.8 to rebuild for the 85.does anyone make an aluminum intake to fit the 91 2.8 that will take a carb on it?or do i have to change out the heads.

There is no carb intake that works with the aluminum heads, if that is what you are asking. If you have iron heads, then there are a couple options, although some are not easy to find. Probably the most readily available would be an Edlebrock performer intake. Another would be an Offenhauser (??), but they are no longer made, so it would be something you would have to do some searching for.

What was the 91 engine from? Does it have aluminum or iron heads? If the heads are iron then keep the 91 heads since they have larger valves. As for the intake manifold I would leave it alone and adapt a Holley or Weber carb to it. Simply do a gasket match job and clean up the casting flash on the intake manifold.

On a side not if you bought a motor with aluminum heads that means it is for FWD vehicles and will be a difficult engine to swap in.
