  • Harness plug ID help

I'm to the point of working on the wiring for my swap, and I can't ID these plugs in my GM service manual...

I have a 2002 Grand Am 3400 harness strung to the engine and using a 99 3400 harness for scrap wire. What plugs are left on the 99 harness are ones that are not on the 2k2...

I think that has something to do with the brakes... I have a similar one already hooked up to the brake booster...

I have no idea, but there's a somewhat similar one on the 2k2 harness:

And lastly, I don't know if the following 2 plugs are in a seperate harness or what, Ignition control module, C2:

(where the missing plug is)... is that even needed?

Also, the crankshaft position sensor B (the plug on the firewall side of the engine), the harness socket isn't there, and splitting the harness back doesn't show the wires for either the ICM2 plug or the CKP sensor... did something change in 2002 to eliminate those?

The Crank Position harness was always a seperate harness and seems to have been obsconded from your 3400. Easy enough to replace with a donor harness.

The first one looks like a Nuetral Safety Switch connector.

The others, I have no clue.

      thanks raven

On a tangent, I checked the brakes section (figuring the similarity in the first plug to the current one on the Sunfire brake booster).

First one, ABS Motor Pack Assembly plug

      LT BLU ABS Motor Feed-LF
      PNK ABS Motor Return-LF
      DK GRN ABS Motor Feed-Rear
      ORN ABS Motor Return-Rear
      PPL ABS Motor Feed-RF
      BLK ABS Motor Return-RF

      --

the 2 big ones are also brake stuff (= not needed, except for maybe 1 or 2 wires)

      --

As for the CKP, just what I needed to know... From the looks of it, that is the missing ICM plug as well if I scrounge a separate harness together (since it appears to just go from the CKP to the ICM) ...

Ahh yes ABS crap, makes sense now.

Yes that sensor harness is just that a single connection between the Crank Position Sensor and the ICM.
