It will take major modifications to squeeze a DOHC into a Beretta. There has only been 1 attempt that I know of (It was actually into a Cavalier, but basically the same), and I'm not sure if it was ever finished. I know it involved relocating the radiator, custom mounts, possibly even mods to the subframe. Its a big engine that isn't suited well for a small bay like the Beretta.

3400 should all be about the same, it's just different cars had better exhaust than others. Around 185hp. Put on good exhaust and headers if you can, a 3500 plenum or 3500 heads on up for more power. Or camshaft, etc.

Or do a whole 3500 and use the external crank sensor adapter sold here on the store. The 3500 is 200hp stock and will be able to be ran with your stock wiring harness and computer. You'll need someone to burn you a chip of course to tuned for the extra fuel/etc, but there are plenty of guys out there, or get the stuff yourself it's not that much.

The 3500 would be a much better route as it's close the the DOHC's power and has a lot more lower end grunt and should make the power sooner, and fits the engine bay no problem.

tell me more about this. i am not familiar with the 3500. what does this product do? convert the ign signal it is using to a 7x signal for the older coilpack ign modules? also where is the external crank sensor located??

The 3500 has a different crank sensor and ring, and won't work with our ECMs. The crank adapter puts our 7x sensor on the outside of the crank pulley reading a ring bolted on instead of reading the crank shaft. Us with gen3 SFI motors need a 24x signal too, and we think that you can swap the timing cover and crank pulley from a 3100/3400 so we can use the 24x too.

Stock the 7x sensor is in the oilpan and reads the crank. This product puts it mounted outside reading a ring bolted to the end of the crank pulley.
