Ok im getting ready to buy a 3.4 for 200 bucks and put it in my 86 blazer.. it runs really well, but i just don't plan on putting it right in after i get it. im going to tear into it and start putting money into it. Its going to be my DD but im a power nut and want it to run well and i also plan on pulling a trailer with my quads on it or a trailer with truck on it or what ever need be.. So what im after is what you all think is the best stuff to get the most power out of this 3.4 and i also plan on putting a carb on it because im sick of somthing as small as a little wire shutting the computer down.. ive had little shit like that cause me to sit on the side of the freeway to many times because of that..

    This is what im after

    -machine shop upgrades
    -pistons
    -crank
    -cam
    -headers
    -intake
    -carb
    -distributor

And do they even have aluminum heads also ive got a webber and has anybody run one on a 3.4

Well a carb is a bad idea. TBI is a very fail safe injection system I would keep it and just replace any damaged sensors. It will make more power and get better fuel economy than an carb application.

You pretty much have a good list of components going there. Yuu could throw in a set of rockers if you wanted. Also for any cam you will need better valve springs.

Sadly there are no aluminum heads for a RWD applcation. Check out my website it has alot of how too's including the 3.4L swap guide.

well im hell bent on a carb because im just tired of s10 wire systems.. one wire wore threw by the oil pressure sensor and shut the truck down.. another by the alt. etc etc.. im also thinking about putting the motor into a nissan truck that i might buy..

now what is the best stuff to use on the list that i have above.. also what roller set up should i use..

Buy Crane or Comp valvetrain components and Hedman headers.
