If you decide to upgrade the rods and pistons let me know.. i'd take the 3.6 stockers in a heartbeat.
Why? If its because you think they are forged, they are not. I ordered a piston and rod, and what I got wasn't forged. So I contacted GM about it, and they verified that their early press releases had a typo in them.

I know..
I wanted to shave a tad off the tops to get my SCR up in the 13's or so.
I'm especially interested in putting one in my Stalker V6 (Lotus 7 replica) and THINK one from a Cad CTS might be a possibility. Wonder how much room it takes up compared to my 3.4 Camaro 60 degree motor (especially height and width <at the cams>)
I've got it pretty much figured out i think. I got a 2005 3.6 VVT from a LaCrose complete dropout. gas pedal fuel pump, all accesoris, wiring and ecm. My tuner can tune the stock pcm to get rid of the torque management so the drive-by-wire will operate like a throttle should, get rid of the tranny stuff, get rid of the security crap. Basically he can do anything I want to the pcm, and he is gonna tune me up for boost. I am running this in my 87 Fiero, longitudinaly with the Audi trans, and he says it will be no problem at all. On top of that if I wanted to stay N/A, he has tuned a few of these already, says he has a tune that gave a CTS dyno proven 15 extra horses to the wheels.
