4X4 4 Door S-10 Blazers were the heaviest. They Tipped the scales at 4000+LBS. That baby would have been a real dog with a 2.8L. It got around 15MPG.

My EXT cab S-10 weighs 3215 LBS and I get 20MPG with my 3.4L and a heavy foot.
      1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
      1990 4Door, 3.2L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. 4X4. Trooper

Agreed BTY, the 4 door blazer 4x4 was the heavist. I used to have an '87 jimmy 4x4 2 door 2.8. It would do 0-60 in (literally) 15 miles. What this truck lacked in speed, it made up for in torque. This truck only got stuck in the mud once. One time it even went through a logging road that had JUST been cut that day!!!!! Without even spinning the tires no less!!! Dont remember the gas milage but it wasnt that great.
Tuning a car is full of compromises. You must decide if you are willing to give up either reliability, performance, or a whole load of cash. Also remember that repairs will seem to come up much more often as you strive for even more performance
