Hey ya'll i heard about an engine swap that if it can be done i'll do it. I heard that it's possible to put a supercharged 3800 engine from a Grand Prix into a Beretta/Corsica, except u have to hard wire the ENTIRE system.
Think of the power that could be made if it was done!

This site is devoted to the 60V6. 3800 is a 90V6. The supercharged 3800 (L67) is not well liked and we are all quite sick of hearing about the L67 swap. You should go to motorswap.org if you want to learn more on that engine and swap.

There are people who have swapped the 3800 engines over, example, nocutt has a turbo 3800 gen3 in his beretta (same L body like yours).

It is VERY work extensive and the mounts require re-enforcing the radiator support.

You can get PLENTY of power if you were to swap a 3400 and turbo it. And a lot easier. If you dont have a 5spd though your auto is gonna blow, so you'll need to swap to a 5spd.... Check out MidnightriderZ24 he has a cavalier with a swapped 3400 and turbo. He dyno'ed well over 300horsepower TO THE WHEELS in his car.

Swapping to a 3400 in a L body (corsica/beretta) is easier than a cavalier too. You have the motor mounts already for it to work. Just gotta adapt some things, and get a custom chip burned from some of the enthusiasts on the message boards. Your computer and everything else works with this motor since its a newer incarnation of the 3.1mpfi. Then later you can turbo it. A stock 3400 is rated at 185hp depending on vehicle it was installed in (ehxaust/etc).

Might want to check out some of these sites. www.domesticcrew.com www.v6z24.com to get some ideas on 3400 swaps.

I saw an 88 5spd corsica in thew newspaper and thought to myself, it may not look as nice as my car, but it would be one funny sleeper if I were to get it and 3400/turbo it.

Good luck, you got a lot of reading to do!
