  • Putting 92 3.1 Corsica motor in a 74 VW Baja Bug

Hey, new to these forums, what a blast you guys seem to be having. I'm a tinkerer by nature as you can see in my sig. So here's my question. I'm picking up an adapter to bolt the 3.1 Corsica motor to a VW transaxle, so the "front" of the engine points straight out the back of the bajabug. Exhaust is going to be a trick for me. I remember something about SBC headers being able to flip flopped side for side, and having them point straight out the hood, usually done when the motor is put in a boat. Any chance a RWD 2.8 V6 (say Camaro/S10) pair of headers could have this done and give me a way to get the exhaust out from under the back of the bug? Worst case, I can always make some flanges based off a pair of gaskets, and build some headers off of that. Any ideas?

Other note I've been thinking about, running 3.1 until it dies, then put it back together using a supercharger setup. Heads, intake/SC, injectors, and fuel pump? Good to go?

Wow, this is going to be a fun car when I get it put together.
