AFC VS adjustable regulator

i was going to tune my obd 1.5 with an apexi afc. i was debating whether to get the AFC right away, or to start with an adjustable regulator. which one would give the best results? Which one would you get first?

by the way i have the 3400 swap with a cam, and headers soon. so thats the reason i need fuel enrichment

an adjustable regulator is going to change the amount of fuel you have flowing all the time. an afc you can tune were you need to trim fuel out of and richen it up. this is real handy on something with a cam, bigger injectors, ect that tend to make the car idle very rich especialy when cold, and run lean at WOT. if you cant tune with a chip or justify stand alone, this is the next best thing.

another idea is to run a megasquirt ecu to run the fuel only. this allows you to tune full fuel maps instead of just changing areas of your fuel map.

ok thanks for the input. deffinately goin to get the AFC first, maybe down the road i may need a regulator to go with it.
