apexi afc

has anyone used an apexi afc piggyback to tune the obd 1.5? curious because i was considering trying to get one and tune with that.

I've seen one used successfully on a 95 grand am to tune a 2.3l for slightly larger injectors and a supercharger at low boost (~5-7psi). It doesn't help with ignition timing however.

I sold one to someone on here for their dohc 3.4. Not sure what came of it.

thanks, if it works it should be a decent way to tune using the obd 1.5

he sold it to me and i sold it to break even on ebay. it would not work with the MAF sensor. it seems the japanese maf sensors use a 5v reference and american ones operate off of frequency(or so i was told anyway).

if you had a 91-93 it would work just fine.

im using MAP only, so maybe it would work

ya you should be fine. gm maps use a 5v reference same as japanese.

ahh ok I couldn't rmember who I sold it to. Sucks you couldnt' get it working. I was unaware of the whole 5v thing. Well I guess its good you got your money back out of it then sinc eyou couldnt' use it. Learned something I guess.

Black, used for a week before i sold the talon, I cant find the installation manual......so anyone who wants it would be getting everything but the manual....

how much $$$ are you asking for it, i may be interested. are all of the wires in tact? is anything cut?

No cut wires, like i said only used it for about a week, its been in my closet in a box since. It comes with plenty of wire length to run it anywhere you want.

I payed 260 for it new with everything, since i can't find the manual, or the mounting bracket, im going to ask 160 for it so i can get at least some of my money back that i payed for it.
