msd digital 7 question

i know they have a dis4 box, but the digital 7 can be programmed via computer and has alot more flexability(alot more expensive too). can it be hooked up to our ignition setups?

if fucking sucks they have a programmable dis2, but not a dis4.

i am kinda new to this whole computerized tuning thing too, but it seems i might have more fun with this than modding.

first off, the digital 7 is for a distributor ignition. it will not work with a dis setup. and msd does have a programable dis 4, ive seen one before.

as for the programable part, you basicly use it to set individual cylender timing. about the only time you use this is on a dyno when setting a motor up.

their website must be out of date then. but thanx for the info. it would seem logical i am sure the dis 4 is very similiar in archetecture to the dis2.

that would be awesome b/c the dis 2 is over $200 cheaper than the digital 7

DIS 4 is for v8 and v6 aplications.. where as the DIS2 is for 4 cylinder aplications..
