Just curious if anyone is running this combination? If so, I was also wondering if you're willing to share your tuning file? Mine's going in here real soon, and it would be kinda nice not to have to start from scratch.

    thanks...

im running my 2.8l on megasquirt 2. my tune up may get you running (aside from changing the ignition settings as i run a distributor), but wouldnt be anywere near optimal.

lemme know if you want it or not

      I'm running MS2 on my 3.4, but my setup is . . . different.

If anyone has any decent timing tables they want to share, I wont turn that down the N/A part of my map is not so ideal right now.

I'll share mine too, but I only have about 30 mins of tuning from scratch on it.

I am running MS II on my turbo 3400 and am planing on getting it dyno tuned soon. I am willing to share my file with anyone that wants it, but it is not perfect (haven't had the chance to play with it much lately). Even if the file was close to perfect you would still need to tune it for your car.Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

What version of firmware is that for?

I think you posted one from previously, and it does ok, but the car still starts kinda hard (kinda what I wanted it for mainly) and once I set the required fuel to my injectors it started to run way lean. I'll go ahead and snag this one and see if anything happens. Then go about turning things back to compensate for the lack of boost.

I should just go with a turbo setup, but i'm a bit lacking in the cash area for that.

I have a question while I think of it. What should the trigger offset be? I think mine's set at 57, but I was thinking it was more like 53?

The only way to set the trigger offset is with a timing light. When I did mine the mark on the balancer was not in the correct spot so I had to make a new one, but I measured mine with a digital timing light and came up with 57. I am in the process of pulling my motor to replace the throw out bearing and am going to check my marks to see how close I got.

Not to sure on the firm ware, but I think it was in the 2.3X's. I know it is old and am in the process of upgrading soon. The thing that sucks is that I am running 35lb/hr injectors so the tune is hard to make work perfect on a motor that is setup different than mine. Sorry the tune wasn't more help, but let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

              Good luck on the tuning

Yeah, I dont think it likes the difference in versions. I'm runing 2.8xx, when I try to load the file it whines at me. If I do load the file, i do believe i've had to go back into my port settings so i could set it up to run the cooling fan again. Thanks for the help though. If I ever go with boost, I have a place to start there at least.

Though, I took the trigger offset and changed it from 57 to 53, and it seemed to make it run a bit better.

the only way to know for sure is bring up the trigger offset wizard and get out the timing light. this is a critical step, if your trigger is off, your entire timing table is off.

the best way to go between codes is to manualy enter the data and export/import the tables. its the only gareteed glitch free way of doing it.

That is what I am in the middle of doing now.

How is your car running Sharkey?

I did use timing wizard and a digital timing light to time my car and that is what I came up with. The problem is that my balancer is off of a 2.8 and the timing marks don't line up with tdc, and it was a pain in the ass to put a mark on the balancer while the engine was in the car. I just finished re-marking my balancer while the engine was out with a new easy to read mark and plan on double checking my setup once I finish putting the engine back in.

my car is running great. i just passed aircare (emmisions testing) cleaner than the car has ever been. it was infact cleaner than my parents 2000 honda civic. i leaned it out so it ran between 14.5-15.0:1 and pulled 5 degrees timing out. i have no egr, i have a pair of 3 way mini cats.

aside from that, boost is in my future. i already have some expiriance with megasquirt and boost (my buddys 2.2 ecotec in 90 sunbird, tubo-ed). thats currently apart after detonating one cylender for no paarent reason. car ran great for a month, with nothing changing, one hole detonated, and i have no explanation as to why.

Good to hear your car is running well. Have you had any problems with your IAC? Mine is still closing to far on cold startup but am hoping to fix it with the newer code.

Good to hear it was easy to pass emissions, I have to go in by the end of the month.

i used to have issues with it skipping steps after hot start. once i loaded in 2.687t4 it fixed it.
