  • N-body computers the same or year specific?

I have a 2003 Grand am gt and a buddy of mine has a HPtuned computer with a LX9/5spd tune already loaded on it which is exactly what I need, does that computer need to be from a 03 as well or am I good for any yr? Also if I find someone local with HP tuners would they be able to change the VIN of that new computer to match my cars VIN? New Canadian Etests require VIN match up last i checkeed

    any help appreciated!

As far as I know, the PCM should have a Service number or something similar. Look for an 03 PCM with the same serv number as the one in question. I also have DHP and HPT if you need help. I'm just located in Kitchener Ontario if you're ever in the area.

Kitchener is actually were i need to go to pick up the HP tuned computer lol I believe its from a 99 though, would there really be much of a difference besides the chance of different gear ratio programmed in depending if it was a SE or GT?

The computer in question has some decent time spent tuning it with the LX9 and 5spd swap which is why i want it and it be perfect to get my car up and running instead of trying to find a tuner to come to me or trailer it somewhere to get the auto shit deleted from my computer

If you want, if buddy has the file in question I can just flash the same parameters onto your current PCM. No fuss with having to swap over.
