That's in mine as well, and it's set for "use VE table" as a default. I know I disconnect the MAF to do a VE tune and that works just fine, but I've always had it run and idle way better when hooked back up to the maf. I've also had other issues when the MAF code was shut off.

Maybe I just never ran it like that for long enough to iron out those problems though.

I'm surprised you don't have this... WAY more tables than DHP.

Oh wow! I saw a thread a long time ago about it but I never really looked into it. I don't think it had gone public back then, and at the time I really wasn't that interested in tuning.
Let me make sure I got this right, tiny tuner will edit, but it won't flash, correct?

What are you guys using to flash? HPT is awfully expensive if all your doing is flashing with it.

Correct, you can use Tiny Tuner to Edit, however you will need DHP PowrTuner or HPTuners hardware to flash the PCM.
Over on Clupgp.com used PowrTuners come up quite often.

Thank you for stating that. I was going to recommend that, but since no one else did I was sure I was missing something.. haha.

Well we weren't sure if that was a definite, him stating that flag along with that makes it a definite that it will be reverting to the VE table upon MAF failure.

And yes Bridgetown, I will use TinyTuner to access tables that DHP doesn't have mapped and then I will just flash with DHP. Not often do I have to do that though.

Wasn't someone working on a way to tune OBD2 with Tunerpro recently?

you can make XDFs, i've started on one, have to do something about the checksum though, TP doesn't support the method, since it skips over the 4 bytes the checksum occupies and continues with the rest of the file.

as for pulling the calibration and reflashing, expect a solution REAL soon that doesn't involve HPT, DHP or any other current offering.

appears you still need to purchase some AVT unit though correct?

I wish someone would make software to work with the Tactrix device I use on my Subaru...
