Thanks-

What is the VIN?
Once I have this info I will see if I can help as I have a zip folder with about 300 .bin files.

unfortunately, I don't have a vin, I'm just wanting to break down some of the differences between an auto and manual bin files.

I did a ebay search and found a manual 3.8L VIN for a 1998 Camaro = OSID 16268296
I had a .bin in my list of files so I have attached it.
thanks, I didn't think of ebay to get a vin...

Unfortunately I do not, all my files are mainly V6 files.

thanks, I've run into one small problem now... tiny tuner and DHP don't recognize that bin... (I expected that!)
I'm looking at table "1st gear min RPM/Vehicle speed ratio" and "2nd gear min RPM/Vehicle speed ratio" I was thinking that this table should use data from the transmission's parent vehicle, in this case, a 2000 sunfire.
here's a screenshot from tiny tuner, the data inputted now, is the data for the F body.

I thought I had made a little headway on the above mentioned ratio, my thinking was that the ratio was simply Minimum RPM:engine speed, and that made sense until I looked st the second gear table, just to see it's identical to the first gear table...

it's used for N/V windowing. N being RPM, V being MPH. why you would need different "window" settings for a different MPH, i don't know, but it's how the PCM detects what gear a manual transmission vehicle is in, OBD1 applications do the same thing.

but that's what's confusing me, the numbers should be linear, and they aren't. and 1st in this bin, is identical to 2nd, which doesn't line up either. it's not really that big of a deal though I guess.
