I think the more info you have ther better the tune Either way
Its not about guessing its about tuning for the data

Until 3 years later and the rings are worn some and the tune slides out, then having the O2 pays off. As it's main purpose is to keep the car in tune after it ages....to help keep that perfect tune. though it isn't a perfect solution, it is better then how it was before O2's were used.

Otherwise, blowby and injector wear will wreck havok on the AFR after time.

But yeah, I run open loop most of the time.

Absolutely, and knowing how to filter that data. As a whole, that data is useless until it is broken up into usable chunks.

I needed a new clutch switch that offers two open signals when the clutch is depressed, one for clutch anticipate, and one for cruise control. here is what I've found.

1994 camaro Z28 brake light switch

P/n on the back is 10424858

The rear set of four terminals are the ones I need. the front pair, and rear pair both perform as prescribed.

I'm sure you could use a relay to flip the switches operation.

If the switch is closed, adds voltage to the relay which opens the line. And visa-versa. You could also use two relays to operate from just 1 clutch switch as well.

not sure if i would want to use a relay on something that can be this time-critical.

the switch swap was too easy to worry about messing with a relay

hmm... pulled up a diagram on autozone's website

it show's a very different pins then what I have found... unless I'm reading them wrong.

                  Edit:

I guess they're numbering the circuits, not the actual pins.

edit: here's another pinout, I'll leave it here for safe keeping...

                    several new pins were added.

                    Second ignition feed
                    Air pump relay control
                    sensor grounds
                    5V references

good point. Especially using only 12v. Maybe a different story with 120v, but this isn't an RV...lol

again, the switch was too easy to implement to worry with a relay.

it seemed like you missed a post in there. the switch swap really is cake though, 1 wire to the PCM, 1 wire to ground, done. should probably wire in a cruise clutch switch too, but that's also easy, just piggyback off the wiring on the brake cruise switch.

should be 2 solid yellow wires on the brake switch, cut one, then wire both cut ends to a switch similar to the one pictured above, any normally closed brake or clutch switch should work. nice thing about the one pictured earlier in the thread, is that is has two switched that both do what we need built into one, which makes packaging way easier.

Ah yes I see what you mean. Packaging is something to always consider, twice as much for a Fiero. I do like the idea.
