I set all of the P/N settings to the same as the D settings, so it shouldn't be a problem either way, but I would still be interested to see the settings you're running!
Thanks-

I wired my harness so it would believe it was in N or D. I can't remember which one. I know it isn't Park and I haven't had any issues with reprogramming. Fairly sure I wired it so it think that it's always in drive. You may or may not know 10 times what i do.

My car doesn't have the selector switch attached anymore.. The neutral safety wires have been wired together. You may or may not know 10 times what i do.

Eric, you could also use the output from the PCM controlling the automatic shift solenoids for other custom functions. Like once the car goes over 5 mph, power a relay to disengage or engage any function. There being only 2 solenoids with a p4 way pattern.... 00, 01, 10, 11
Example being a rev limiter for launch control. Once the vehicle exceeds 3-5 mph the launch control disengages. Or activate another device in cruising ranges.
I considered a user safety switch which cuts all custom switches. Hide it under the dash just in case. But ultimately the only dangerous switches would be boost control and meth injection knobs.

I imagine you might of had the PCM pulling timing during what it thinks is a shift event. Other wise, setting the vehicle to be in P/N might make a difference as well, as Eric was saying. The PCM has different settings for accel enrichment in both P/N or D.
Another one might be the throttle follower settings. Adjusting those for a manual swap isn't unheard of. Changes the way the IAC acts between shifts, which an auto PCM would think is throttle off and might engage DFCO.1996 Grand Prix | 3100v6 L82 | T04E-50 Turbo | Getrag 282 w/ EP LSD | SPEC-3 Clutch

I am glad you were able to fix your issue.1996 Grand Prix | 3100v6 L82 | T04E-50 Turbo | Getrag 282 w/ EP LSD | SPEC-3 Clutch

Well according to him it is broken... He has no cruse when its in manual mode... There has to be something that triggers that. I'll have to dig through the bins later, might require a pin change or something but I don't know.

Going by that the Disengage input just goes to a second switch that appears to be on the clutch, vs the shift interlock system which he said is removed on his. Other than that I don't see any other at vs mt differences in wiring.Last edited by 3400-95-Modified; 02-12-2013, 02:16 PM.
