What charts did you compare? You only said you tried a Malibu file which is a N-body...

Either way I've given my info, it's not my car so he can run whatever file he wants and have whatever wire mods he needs to make it run, not the best way in my opinion.
Sorry for not expounding. He compared the connector end view of the PCM connectors on a 2000 Montana, Malibu, and Monte Carlo against his Century. The Montana had the closest connector pin out to the Century. (Even though the Monte is the same body style, the PCM pin out was different). The only harness modification that was required was to install the 3 pins in the PCM connector for transmission which just needed to be grounded.

I am thankful for your suggestions and time. It's not my car either, but with the Montana tune it is working great. We only had to change a couple transmission parameters and edit the DTC list.

You could also just change the trans type code in Tiny Tuner to reflect its a 4t60e and not a 65e...
I guess I'll re-qoute myself since this is why I think adding pins to ground were a bad way to solve the issue.

the adding pins to ground sounds like tricking the PCM into thinking the shifter position switch is in a certain position.... it will work, but it's not a very good way to go about it.

I agree. Changing it in tiny tuners is a better option. Though I feel it is less half-fast than what is done when swapping from an auto to a manual trans.

It had nothing to do with the shifter switch.. It was the trans fluid pressure sensors. The PCM was getting the input that the trans was in Drive, but since there were no inputs from the trans fluid pressure sensors it inhibited shifting beyond second. Grounding the terminals gave the PCM an input for the TFP sensors. The pressure sensor value is above spec (of course) but it was no longer 0. Since the PCM saw that there was some pressure, it allowed shifting beyond second..

The only reason why swapping from auto to manual was "half-assed" is because this is a new field in tiny tuners and those who have done an auto to manual swap you can now change it to read manual... The only modification you have to make after that, to an original auto vehicle, is the neutral safety switch has to be re-directed to be a clutch safety switch... Doesn't sound half assed to me at all if you do it that way.
