  • I Need a .bin for a 97 Lumina, please

I have the .hpt file. Need the bin for Tiny Tuners. Apparently other bins of similar pcm's giving me vin/os id match errors in HPT. And I fear I'll brick the PCM if I try to flash a different OS ID. Even if it is the same 'style' PCM.

This is so I can set the MAP settings to read a 2-bar MAP. In case the MAF fails under boost it will be added safety. And the PCM can be set to use the VE tables as an assistant in calculating transient fueling at lower loads. I learned the VE tables are more accurate at lower rpm and the MAF is accurate at higher rpms. The MAF is still the master but it can ref the VE tables to make the vehicle respond smoother.

I will also be able to access many other tables in Tiny Tuners. The use HPT to open the bin and flash the PCM.

So I'll have access to more spark tables, DFCO tables, injector pulse width tables for the 36lbers.

So if any has a bin for a 1997 Lumina, please upload if you can. I will be very grateful. Or point me in the direction I can find one.

    Thanks

I finally found a BIN for a 1997 Lumina PCM. The VCM ID is a perfect match.

BUT, Tiny Tuner didn't map that specific OS ID. So I learned how to map it myself by comparing binary of a known good file, then verifying the data addresses were accurate. HAHA, I learned to map out my first bin file.

Everything is set, 2-bar settings, spark maps, ect. Now, I have one last issue to resolve. When I write my VIN to the bin file in TT's, it saves it and then when I open it in HPT the VIN is not there. I tried it on another known good file from 60degreev6 and the same thing keeps happening.

How do I keep the vin from failing to load in HPT or failing to save in TT's?

If I knew the address for the VIN I could easily solve this problem, but I don't know where the VIN is stored.

SOOO CLOSE, YET SO FAR AWAY...............
