  • Injector Flow Rate vrs kPa - Is this correct?

I am tuning the fuel injectors but first I need to get a basic setting to further fine tune off of.

I am using the calculator in HPTuners software for flow rate. I also have a 2-bar map and scaled the table values appropriately. Which means 50kPa = 0kPa, 0kPa = -100kPa

    old / new
    100 100
    90 80 Idle
    80 60
    70 40
    60 20
    50 0 n/a WOT
    40 -20 @3psi boost
    30 -40 @6psi boost
    20 -60 @9psi boost
    10 -80 @12psi boost
    0 -100 @14.7 psi boost

Here is what I came up with using 36# injectors from the supercharged 3800. I would calculate the rail pressure using the manifold pressures as well. So if there was a 10psi vacuum then the rail pressure would be calculated at 53.5psi. Under boost of 8psi the rail pressure would be 35.5psi. Of course the rail pressure isn't really changing, this is used to determine the effects of pressure/vacuum on the injectors.

Modified the table below from original post

    Manifold . FuelRail = FlowRate
    100kPa . 43.5psi = 34.37
    80 kPa . 44.8psi = 33.97
    60 kPa . 46.1psi = 33.58
    40 kPa . 47.4psi = 33.19
    20 kPa . 48.7psi = 32.79
    0 kPa . 50psi = 32.4
    -20 kPa . 50psi = 31.18
    -40 kPa . 50psi = 29.95
    -60 kPa . 50psi = 28.73
    -80 kPa . 50psi = 27.51
    -100kPa . 50psi = 26.29

    Does this seem correct?
